Since 2015, Imogene L. Cathey has served as general counsel at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania where she manages academic and corporate governance, personnel and employment issues, and other related areas. In conjunction with her legal career, Imogene L. Cathey has maintained membership in various professional organizations, such as the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.
The Allegheny County Bar Foundation (ACBF) recently announced its 2016 Pro Bono Achievement Award recipients. Six people were recognized by ACBF during its Fellows Reception for their commitment to providing free legal services to needy individuals.
The awards and winners were:
- Lifetime Pro Bono Service Award: Paul H. Titus – a lawyer with Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP.
Jane F. Hepting Individual Attorney Award: Beth A. Dodson – an attorney at BNY Mellon.
Lorraine M. Bittner Public Interest Attorney Award: Barbara L. Clements – Pro Se Coordinator for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Family Division.
Law Firm Award: Stoll Keenon Ogden – a law firm located in downtown Pittsburgh.
Young Lawyer Award: Katherine Leech Vollen – an attorney with Humphrey, Vollen & Anderson, LLC.
Legal Assistant Award: Miranda J. Settlemeyer – a legal assistant with Meyer Unkovic & Scott.
Law Student Award: Jason E. Piatt – provided pro bono services while a student at t the Duquesne University School of Law.
ACBF gives out these awards in conjunction with national Pro Bono Week, which is a week-long awareness initiative to recognize the important work that pro-bono attorneys do in providing legal services to individuals in financial need.
